Overmolding Service means two different property materials combine together by the Injection Molding service. Normally, the soft material joint with the hard material such as TPE/PC, also the hard and hard material also can be jointed such as PC/ABS,the overmolding parts are widely used to achieve the sealing function, Anti-slip function and ect.

Overmolding isn't necessarily injected in the same machine or same tool, it can be divided into two molding; After the product is removed from one mold, it is put into another mold for injection molding for the second time. The process can use ordinary injection molding machine , equipment investment is relatively small. The molding process cycle is relatively long, the production efficiency is lower than the two-color mold.
Overmolding includes the main body (hard plastic) and outsourcing(soft material) in the mold manufacturing. Normally, manufacturing hard plastic main body first, subject hard plastic mold design according to the normal design procedure, outsourcing mold onto hard plastic products.
And the outsourcing(soft material) melt temperature can't over the hard plastic melt temperature, or there will be problem to overmold them together.
